Supersexuals are actually really harmful.

What even is a "supersexual"?
A supersexual is someone that is "only attracted to cis people." To put it simply, a transphobe.
This has largely been fueled by cis straight men, claiming they do not want to date a trans woman, because she is not a "real woman" in their eyes.
However, though it has been fueled by straight men, several gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and other queer people are joining this movement.
Why are "supersexuals" so harmful?
Supersexuals are extremely harmful because the movement is fueled by transphobia. In a time where trans people are repeatedly being attacked, from individuals and from governments themselves, this is not helpful.
It is not transphobic to have a genital preference, but it is transphobic to participate in a movement founded on the beliefs that trans women are not women and trans men are men.
Additionally, Nazis have picked up the movement and emphasized: "the fact that superstraight can be abbreviated as 'SS,' a Nazi paramilitary organization." (tw for transphobia: source and source two
What is the origin of "super straights" anyway?
There is some debate over this, though it appears to originate from a Tik Tok that has since been deleted. However, it was uploaded to YouTube and you can watch it here (tw on comments for transphobia).
I identify as superstraight.
First, thanks for reading this, I doubt many will. Let's get into it:
I'm not transphobic, I love trans people! I just don't want to date them.
Okay, and? I guarantee 99% of us wouldn't want to date you, anyway, if you don't want to date us because we're trans. You do not need a sexual orientation for a genital preference.
But people were forcing me to have relationships with trans people!
Please name one example of someone telling you "You must date this trans person." Nobody (especially trans people) is forcing you to be in a relationship you don't want to be in. Again, you don't need a sexuality for this.
It's rape if trans people don't tell me they're trans beforehand.
The reality is trans people will tell you. If we don't, we could be murdered (see: trans panic). However, if by some off chance one doesn't tell you, you are allowed to say "stop" at any time, consent isn't a one time thing.
But queer people make their own sexual orientations all the time, why can't I?
We don't make our own sexualities. We may make labels if one doesn't fit us, but nobody makes their own sexuality. It's not a choice.
But trans women aren't women to me! And trans men aren't men, either.
Wrong, trans women are women and trans men are men! And saying that us transphobic.
But I am not attracted to the genitals of trans [wo]men!
Okay, that's valid and not transphobic. You don't need a sexuality for it, though.
And again, the above statement doesn't work as justification if you aren't attracted to a trans [wo]man post-op. Either way, though, you don't need a sexuality for it.
Trans people shouldn't be part of the LGBTQ+ community because it's a gender identity, not a sexuality.
First, without trans people, particularly black trans women, the Stonewall riots likely wouldn't have happened. Two, you're straight. Straight people are not part of the LGBTQ+ community, so they do not get a say on who is allowed and who isn't.
Cis is a slur!
Nope, and never was. It's a term used in medical academics and has been since the 1990s. It is not a slur, it's simply a word for someone who's gender matched their biological sex.
We're oppressed!
Nope, you are not being denied housing, fired from your job, or kicked out of a restaurant because of who you love. You don't lose rights for being straight. It isn't illegal to be straight in any countries. Stop trying to victimize yourself and help the people that need it, especially black LGBTQ+ people.
Well, I want a label for me! What can I identify as?
Good news! A recent term was just coined, as an alternative to supersexual to signify exclusive attraction, while not being transphobic. A person of any sexuality can use this term, whether they're straight, gay, lesbian, bisexual, queer, or something else. The term is imprisexual.
I identify as supergay/lesbian/bisexual/queer/other.
I am extremely saddened to see queer people breaking from their trans siblings. Trans people, particularly black trans women, were key in the Stonewall Riot. Marsha P. Blackburn is largely credited for this. After that, during the cry for equal rights, they were left behind in favor of gaining rights for gay people first. Let's not leave trans people behind to fend for themselves again.
Anything else? See I identify as super straight.
Hey, lovely. I know this hurts, but there are so many cis allies out there that know this is wrong. You aren't alone. There are so many people fighting for you. hugs
